What Makes the Journey Different
Many Rajasthan itineraries concentrate on the best-known palace cities. Pedalers heads instead through lesser-known northern regions where fort hotels, rural roads, villages and Sariska Tiger Reserve create a route with substantial history and wildlife but far less tourist traffic.
The accommodations are part of the itinerary rather than simply overnight stops. Riders move from Neemrana Fort Palace to Tijara Fort-Palace and Dadhikar Fort before reaching Sariska, then finish in Jaipur at Samode Haveli after the cycling is complete.
Editorial Angles
Rajasthan Beyond the Tourist-Bus Circuit
Neemrana, Tijara, Dadhikar and the rural roads approaching Sariska offer a different way into Rajasthan before the trip reaches the more familiar landmarks of Jaipur.
Sleeping Inside the History
Historic fort palaces and heritage properties make the overnight stops central to the story, giving riders time to wander old courtyards, terraces and fortified buildings after the day's ride.
From Tiger Country to the Pink City
A Sariska wildlife safari breaks up the cycling before the route continues to Jaipur for a hot-air balloon flight, Amer Fort, markets and palace architecture.
Through Northern Rajasthan
- New Delhi to Neemrana: Meet in Delhi and transfer to the 15th-century Neemrana Fort Palace for the opening night and welcome dinner.
- Neemrana to Tijara - 45 km: Begin the cycling on countryside roads and village lanes, finishing at the 19th-century Tijara Fort-Palace.
- Tijara to Dadhikar - 65 km: Continue through rural Rajasthan to Dadhikar Fort, with a packed lunch along the route and time to explore the property after riding.
- Dadhikar to Sariska - 70 km: Ride through villages and open landscapes to Kasba Sariska, then spend the next morning on an open-vehicle wildlife safari.
- Sariska toward Jaipur - 65 km: Complete the final cycling stage on rural roads before transferring into Jaipur and settling at Samode Haveli.
- Jaipur: Finish with a hot-air balloon flight, Amer Fort and time around the city's markets and palace architecture before departure the following morning.
