Wyoming bicycle tour day by day details  

Meet Jackson Airport, shuttle to Togwotee Pass
Your guides will meet you as you arrive at Jackson Hole Airport, then shuttle up to our first night lodging tucked away in the pine trees of the Bridger Teton Forest. Enjoy free time to explore around the resort and its surroundings before gathering for orientation and dinner.

Mostly downhill cycling to Dubois
After a hearty Wyoming breakfast at the lodge, we are off and running. Your ride today starts off with a slow ascent through the pine and fir forests towards Togwotee Pass, the highest point of the entire tour. The bicycle ride from Togwotee to Brooks Lake to Dubois in Wyoming offers a scenic adventure through stunning landscapes. Starting at Togwotee Pass, you'll pedal through majestic mountains, lush forests, and possibly spot wildlife. Descending into the Upper Wind River Valley, you'll ride alongside the Wind River, known for trout fishing. Brooks Lake awaits with its tranquil alpine beauty. Finally, you'll reach Dubois, a charming town where Western heritage meets outdoor recreation. Explore art galleries, museums, and attractions like the National Bighorn Sheep Center.

A rather different ride awais today, as we say good bye to the forest. You'll pedal through beautiful landscapes, including rolling hills and open prairies. As you make your way south, the Wind River continies to accompany you, providing a picturesque backdrop. The route takes you through small towns and ranching communities, allowing you to experience the authentic rural Wyoming atmosphere. Eventually, you'll reach Lander, a vibrant town known for its outdoor recreation opportunities.
Ride: 74 mi, Land: small hills, mostly downhill
Eat: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Shuttle to Atlantic City, South Pass City, downhill cycling to Farson Mercantile, shuttle to Pinedale
We will shuttle up to the historic Atlantic City to start todays' adventure. Bicycling around Atlantic City and South Pass City in Wyoming offers a captivating journey through history and scenic landscapes. Starting in Atlantic City, a ghost town known for its rich mining heritage, you'll pedal through a landscape dotted with remnants of the past. The ride takes you to South Pass City, a well-preserved historic mining town that provides a glimpse into Wyoming's past. As you continue, the route leads downhill, offering a thrilling descent towards Farson. Along the way, you'll be treated to expansive views of Wyoming's vast plains and rolling hills. Farson, a small community, welcomes you with the opportunity to refuel at the famous Farson Mercantile before shuttling to Pinedale for the night.
Ride: 43 mi, Land: small hills, then long downhill

Cycle to Hoback, shuttle to Jackson
Our last day of cycling offers a scenic and enjoyable ride through the stunning landscapes of western Wyoming. Starting in Pinedale, a charming town surrounded by the Wind River Mountains, you'll pedal through wide-open spaces with majestic mountain views. As you follow the route, you'll pass by pristine lakes, including the scenic Fremont Lake, and traverse the picturesque Green River Valley. The road takes you through rolling hills and peaceful ranching communities, showcasing the area's rural charm. Eventually, you'll arrive at Hoback Junction, where the Hoback River meets the Snake River. From Hoback we will shuttle into Jackson town avoiding the traffic, where we wind down the tour with our final dinner.

Eat: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Sleep: Antler Inn  
 

Depart for home or onward to more adventures in the west
Sadly our Wyoming adventure must come to an end, after breakfast shuttles to Jackson Hole Airport will be offered. Happy Trails!

Getting There

The Autumn in Wyoming Bike Tour meets and ends at Jackson Hole Airport. Guides will meet arriving flights, between 9:00 and 13:00

Guests should plan their flights to arrive in Jackson Wyoming before 13:00 (1 pm) on Day 1 of the tour and their departing flights after 11:00 on Day 6.

  Travel Tip:   Parking is available at Jackson Hole Airport for folks planning to drive to the tour ($25 per day).
