Why Pedalers?

Small groups, local knowledge, thoughtful routes, and active travel experience since 1987.

Choosing the right trip is not only about where you go. It is also about how the journey is designed, who is leading it, where you stay, what you eat, and whether the company behind it understands the places it travels through. Pedalers has spent decades building small-group active trips around quiet roads, local partners, comfortable stays, memorable meals, and the kind of practical experience that makes travel feel smoother, richer, and more personal.

Since 1987

Pedalers began running bicycle tours in 1987, long before small-group cycling and active travel became as familiar as they are today. Over the years, we have explored a lot of roads, learned a lot of lessons, and returned to the places that still feel worth sharing. That experience shapes how we design trips today: focused, thoughtful, and rooted in destinations we know well.

Routes With a Reason

A good route is more than a line on a map. Our routes are shaped by scenery, culture, road quality, food stops, support access, and the rhythm of the day. Sometimes the best choice is a quiet rural lane, sometimes it is a climb worth earning, and sometimes it is a shorter ride that leaves time for a market, temple, swim, ferry crossing, or long lunch in exactly the right place.

Local Guides & Support

Our guide teams help the country open up around you. They know the roads, language, customs, restaurants, local specialties, and how to adjust when travel gets interesting. On cycling trips, support vehicles carry luggage, water, tools, spare parts, and a place to take a break if you want one. The goal is simple: let you enjoy the day with confidence.

Boutique Accommodations

We choose inns, lodges, resorts, and boutique hotels for comfort, location, service, and a real sense of place. Some trips use our long-running Classic Inns style, with comfortable 3- and 4-star properties that balance charm, value, and local flavor. Première Classe trips add a higher level of polish with carefully selected 4- and 5-star stays.

Local Cuisine

Food is one of the best ways to understand where you are. Our guides lead the way to local restaurants, cafés, markets, picnic spots, and regional specialties that fit the route. Some meals are elegant, some are casual, and some are unforgettable because they are served at cement picnic tables in the sand or homemade wooden tables under the trees. Fancy is not the point. Good food, good company, and a real taste of the destination are.

Responsible Travel

Responsible travel is not a trend for us. It is a collection of everyday choices: small groups, local partners, respectful habits, less waste where practical, and routes that do not turn every stop into a performance. We want our trips to be good for guests, good for local partners, and respectful of the places that make each journey worth taking.

Find Your Level

Pedalers tour levels help you choose the trip that fits your riding, walking, or paddling style. From Leisurely to Challenging, each level gives a practical sense of activity, terrain, and overall effort. The labels are only a starting point, so we also provide daily distances, route notes, and details to help you choose with confidence.

Custom & Private Tours

Some trips are better with the people you already know. Private departures and custom tours let families, friends, cycling clubs, corporate groups, and special-interest groups travel together on dates and routes that fit their plans. You can choose a private version of an existing Pedalers trip, tailor an itinerary, or work with us to create something more personal.

The Pedalers Difference

Pedalers is not trying to be the biggest travel company or offer the longest list of destinations. We would rather focus on trips we believe in, places we know well, and the small details that make active travel more rewarding: the better road, the right guide, the local meal, the welcoming inn, and the day that feels like it was designed by someone who has actually been there.
