A private Pedalers departure gives your family, friends, cycling club, company group, or other small group the chance to travel together on one of our established tours. You get the same thoughtfully designed routes, local guides, boutique accommodations, memorable meals, and support as our scheduled departures - without joining a group of travelers you haven't met.

Start With One of Our Tours

Our private trips begin with an existing Pedalers itinerary.

That means the route has already been researched and refined, the riding or walking distances make sense, the hotels and restaurants have been chosen with care, and the logistics have been worked through in the real world.

Rather than designing a completely new journey from scratch, we take a trip we know well and make it yours.

Private departures work particularly well for families, groups of friends, cycling clubs, alumni groups, and travelers who simply prefer to explore with their own companions.

Make It Fit Your Group

Private doesn't have to mean identical to the scheduled departure.

Depending on the destination, season, and availability, we can often make practical adjustments such as:

• Adding nights before, during, or after the tour
• Upgrading selected hotels
• Choosing different bike options
• Using eBikes instead of regular bikes where available
• Adding a rest day or slowing the itinerary slightly
• Building in a little more time for sightseeing or relaxation
• Adjusting arrangements to suit the interests and abilities of your group

Some itineraries are more flexible than others. A hotel may be important to the route, a transfer may depend on timing, or changing one riding day may affect several days that follow. We'll tell you what can easily be changed, what may require additional cost, and what is probably better left as designed.

Your Dates

A private departure lets you travel on dates that suit your group rather than choosing from our published departure calendar.

Dates remain subject to guide, hotel, transportation, and local availability, so having a little flexibility can be useful - particularly during popular travel periods.

If you already know roughly when everyone can travel, send us your preferred dates and we'll start there.

Who Private Tours Work Well For

Private departures can be a particularly good choice for:

You don't need a large group. A private departure may be possible for just a few travelers, although pricing will vary with group size because guide, vehicle, and other operating costs are shared among fewer people.

Group Organizer Perks

Gathering everyone together takes some effort.

For private groups of 12 or more paying travelers, the group organizer receives a half-price place on the trip as our thank-you for making it happen.

• Any changes you would like us to consider
• Whether anyone would prefer an eBike or another available bike option
