Japan Walking & Bicycling Tours

Bicycling, Walking & Snowshoeing in Japan

Back in 1985 Pedalers founder, Tom Sheehan and a cycling buddy organized some bicycle groups to Japan, while everyone else was going to Europe and Vermont. Cycling from Kyoto to Nikko, the first few parties were truly a unique sight to the rural villagers who saw no gaijin (foreigners) in their daily lives.

Since turning a hobby into a business back in 1987, we have over the years offered Japan tours to adventurous travelers. After a few years absence from this wonderful destination, we are itching to return, to enjoy the marvelous cuisine, the friendly hosts and beautiful landscapes of rural Japan.

Join us for either cycling or walking, visit historic villages and bed down in traditional inns, many having been run by many generations of the same family. Discover why Japanese cuisine frequently makes the list of world's best. Experience the charm and hospitality of the people.
